Business Operations & Strategy Paid Internship (Revenue Analytics) - Summer 2021

HOVER uses patented technology making it possible for anyone with a smartphone camera to create an interactive 3D model, complete with detailed measurements and powerful design features. The data produced is extremely valuable as it generates a single source of truth for the physical world allowing for more veracity throughout the home improvement and insurance processes. The Revenue Analytics & Strategy Team is a high performing team that partners with all of our customer-facing teams to add leverage to their work. You will contribute by: 

When you join HOVER, you’ll be an integral part of some of our most impactful projects for the business. You will support the development of our GTM strategy by infusing insights from our customers into product development and/or sales motions. Some sample projects below:

Improve our Customer Support Analytics & Operations

Our customer support team is the face/voice of HOVER for many of our customers. These customers call in with a variety of questions and challenges and our learnings from these conversations can drive incremental sales, prevent customer churn and improve our product. However, we can only generate these benefits if we properly prioritize our support team’s work, effectively identify trends and create proper feedback channels within the company. Part analytics and part operations, this project will provide you with incredible insight into how companies integrate customer feedback across their organization.

Evaluate new Customer Support platforms

In alignment with the project above, perhaps we need to overhaul how we receive and handle communications from our customers. We are looking for a bright, structured individual who can help us evaluate the market of potential providers and determine which, if any, product/platform could replace our current solution. This project will provide you with an understanding of how companies make purchasing decisions and give you an opportunity to present your recommendations to HOVER’s leadership team.

Your background includes:  

This internship is perfect for students who can commit to a 2-3 month internship this summer, are in their junior year (rising senior at time of internship),and have an aptitude for data driven problem solving. 

Preferred qualifications include: 

  • Understanding of general business topics
  • Familiarity with Excel 
  • Ability to tell data-backed stories through slide decks (e.g., PowerPoint or Google Slides)
  • Eagerness to operate in an 80/20 mindset, ruthlessly prioritizing your time when there are far too many exciting and impactful things available to work on 
  • Problem solver with ability to leverage data driven insights as well as creative solutions 
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills
