Hover is looking for a Research & Design Operations Manager to join our rapidly growing team. You are driven by customer centricity, efficiency, results and details while loving cross collaboration with teams and engaging connections with customers and users. You will establish and scale research and design operations, including managing the HOVER community, within the product and design org at HOVER, while working collaboratively across the company. This role reports to our Director of Research and together, you will continue developing research infrastructure and processes to enable teams to conduct research effectively and efficiently while complying with legal and privacy requirements. This role is ideal for someone who is a detail oriented, highly organized self starter who enjoys project management and deeply cares about human experiences and systems.

  • Collaborative and flexible with a sense of humor while managing ambiguous projects
  • 3+ years managing diverse portfolio of projects and making resourcing decisions (as a program/project manager, as a researcher or research manager, or other role)
  • 1+ years experience in research operations and/or research
  • Solid understanding of research project processes (from unmoderated to moderated to diary studies to surveys to field)
  • Experienced guiding teams through research projects while improving research project efficiencies
  • Experienced creating processes and managing vendor contracts with finance, legal, IT, procurement, security
  • Detail oriented and highly organized person who relentlessly focuses on human experiences

What you’ll do:

  • Partner with the design and research leadership team to prioritize projects while creating and executing a strategy and vision for the operations function
  • Engage and grow the HOVER community and partner with Sales, Operations, Support, Marketing, Product, and other teams, to increase visibility
  • Work with Director of Research to create and drive and measure visibility for research projects and insights
  • Build a research program that enables anyone to easily and effectively know best practices for research and connect with research participants
  • Drive and measure and track research project compliance with research ethics, legal and privacy and confidentiality requirements, CCPA, PII management 
  • Create scalable processes that enable our design & research team to work more efficiently and effectively
  • Research vendor and tool management, collaborating with finance, legal, security, procurement
