Why HOVER wants you:

HOVER is currently seeking a Payroll and Stock Administrator Specialist to join our team in San Francisco. This role will be accountable for the administration of the company’s (410(k), ESPP, and Employee Stock Option Programs, as well as administering the Payroll/HRIS Systems. You will serve as the point of primary contact with ADP WorkforceNow for payroll and benefit administration and reporting. You will also provide general human resource administrative support for employment as well as other activities. 

You will contribute by: 

Payroll Responsibilities

  • Manage semi-monthly payroll for both exempt and non-exempt employees in a multi-state environment 
  • Manage new state registrations and correspondence with existing agencies
  • Ensure compliance with policy and procedure as well as federal, state and local payroll tax regulations
  • Coordinate with HR to assure seamless and timely integration of information for payroll processing and reporting
  • Perform FSA and HSA reconciliations and resolve discrepancies
  • Prepare journal entries and monthly payroll reconciliations
  • Address employee inquiries in a timely manner
  • Assist with year-end audits, workers compensation audits, 401(k) audits, and regulatory filings
  • Maintain good record keeping of all payroll files and sound internal controls

Stock Administration Responsibilities

  • Prepare and process new equity awards, exercises, cancellations and releases promptly
  • Perform filings and reporting as incurred
  • Maintain and update stock databases, prepare reports and perform analysis and reconciliations, assist with quarterly and year-end audits
  • Engage in process improvements opportunities to support business growth while maintaining sound internal controls 
  • Assist in other ad hoc tasks or projects as assigned

Your background includes:  

  • Bachelor's Degree in Accounting 
  • 7+ years of relevant experience in payroll processing, stock administration and related accounting analysis and month-end reconciliations
  • Experience with ADP WorkforceNow, Carta, Netsuite preferred

The base salary for this position will vary based on geography and other factors. In accordance with Colorado law, the base salary for this role if filled within the Denver Metropolitan area is $86,000 - $101,000.
