As Sr Dir Strategic BD at HOVER, you will help develop, evolve, and execute against our BD strategy to prospect and sell partnerships that help us achieve our near term financial goals, as well as move closer to our strategic mission and vision as a company. You will drive success working cross functionally across HOVER teams by clarifying goals, aligning resources, and setting clear objectives for your programs. In this role, you will develop strong relationships, both internally and externally, and excel at executive-level communication. You will identify and qualify new opportunities to expand our business through the sale of new and renewal of existing partnerships in current and adjacent markets. You will work across HOVER functions including Senior Leadership, Sales, Customer Success, Marketing, Product Development, Engineering and Finance, to maximize value to HOVER and for our ecosystem of partners.

You will contribute by: 

  • Building and maintaining relationships with partners by understanding their objectives and acting as their trusted advisor for all things HOVER
  • Managing the sales cycle and process for new and existing strategic partnerships to ensure successful closing of deals and working closely with internal partners to help those deals achieve the intended goals 
  • Partnering closely with a variety of cross departmental stakeholders and setting other teams up for success, where relevant 
  • Leading cross-functional projects within HOVER and identifying new ways our platform can differentiate our partners and customers in the market

Your background includes:  

  • 7+ years of strategic and/or enterprise sales, account management or partnership experience
  • Ability to create 6-12 month strategic plans and execute successfully against the goals found within those plans
  • Experience with SFDC and implementing sales process and methodologies  
  • Ability to communicate clearly and distill complexity into action and share cross departmentally within the organization
  • Success building senior-level and cross functional relationships quickly and effectively with external and internal stakeholders
  • Active interest in increasing customer satisfaction and empathy for your partners and customers
  • Growth mind-set; flexible and adaptive

The US base salary range for this full-time position is $145,000-$214,000 + commission. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. The range displayed on each job posting reflects the minimum and maximum target for new hire salaries for the position across all US locations. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
