About the position

As an Operations Lead, you will be a key partner to senior leaders across Engineering and Product, helping shape the strategy, development, and execution of new features and capabilities within Hover’s production pipeline.

You will contribute by

  • Leading with Expertise: Own Hover’s modeling and production workflows. Build deep expertise in our workflows and emerging capabilities to identify and prioritize high-impact opportunities. Spot bottlenecks, drive innovation, and scale what works.
  • Scaling Automation: Design, test, and launch automation initiatives—from rapid prototypes to full rollouts with offshore teams. You will drive multiple initiatives simultaneously — from running hands-on small-scale tests yourself to managing full-scale experiments with BPO/offshore teams and launching initiatives to all production users.
  • Impacting Realization at Scale: Own the delivery of measurable TRT, TAT, and quality improvements at our BPO/offshore sites. You will establish yourself as a visible leader with our BPO/offshore partners — influencing, coaching, and training them to adopt new processes and technologies successfully.
  • Optimizing Constantly: Beyond major initiatives, you will proactively identify incremental opportunities to optimize and scale our production pipeline, ensuring we maintain competitive speed, cost, and quality advantages.
  • Team Leadership and Development: Lead and develop a high-performing team of 3 Hover employees who will each spearhead individual innovation initiatives. You will be responsible for mentoring and growing them into credible technical and operational leaders within the company.
  • Cross Functional Collaboration: Partner closely with CV/ML and process engineering teams to build a high-performing horizontal function focused on identifying and executing high-impact opportunities

Your background includes

  • 10+ years of experience, ideally in art, architecture, 3D design, game artistry. 
  • Experience with 3D mapping, 3D design, reconstruction, photogrammetry, or related computer vision applications; familiarity with SketchUp is a plus
  • Proven team leadership experience
  • Ability to explain complex concepts clearly and simply
  • Skilled at managing multiple projects simultaneously
  • Capable of commanding authority and building trust with BPO/offshore teams

Hybrid roles at Hover

Hover has Hubs in San Francisco and New York City, where we expect that all employees living within a 50-mile radius of our offices will come into their local Hover office at least three times a week to build rapport and foster organic connection. At this time, Hover is not considering fully remote roles.

The US base salary range for this full-time position is $205,000-$234,000 annually. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. The range displayed on each job posting reflects the minimum and maximum target for new hire salaries for the position across all applicable US locations. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. Your recruiter can share more about the specific salary range for your preferred location during the hiring process.
