San Francisco/New York—Marketing
At Hover, we are bringing products to the market that are transforming the home improvement industry. We are looking for an exceptionally talented product marketer manager with experience bringing new products and new ideas to market. You will have a unique opportunity and be trusted to lead launch strategies and campaigns for new products and features, driving acquisition and adoption in a fast-paced and agile environment. You will be responsible for executing product launch plans together with a highly cross-functional team of marketers, product managers, and sales and support team members.
San Francisco/New York—Engineering
At Hover, we’re transforming how professionals in construction and insurance document, scope, and estimate properties—delivering modern tools for industries long underserved by software. We’re looking for a Staff Engineer who can lead through influence, navigate ambiguity, and help guide our vertical toward scalable, reliable, and impactful solutions.
This role is more than writing great code. We’re looking for someone who can help us design systems and workflows used daily by contractors, adjusters, and claims professionals—people whose work directly impacts homeowners during high-stakes moments. You’ll bring a product mindset, strong architectural judgment, and the ability to connect the dots across services, domains, and teams.

San Francisco/New York—Design
As an Art Director at Hover, you’ll be instrumental in bringing our brand and marketing vision to life. You will collaborate closely with designers, marketing teams, and other cross-functional partners to deliver high-quality, impactful creative work across a variety of mediums. This role is hands-on, requiring both exceptional design skills and the ability to guide and inspire a team. You’ll play a critical role in building and maintaining the Hover brand, focusing on execution and elevating our creative output.
San Francisco/New York—Design
As a Creative Director at Hover, you’ll play a pivotal role in shaping and scaling our brand. You will elevate and champion Hover’s creative expression across all touchpoints, including brand, marketing, digital platforms, and within our product. Working closely with marketing leadership and designers, you’ll lead the charge in building and maintaining brand and marketing systems that reflect our high bar for craft. You’ll advocate for the best ideas, and inspire the team to deliver exceptional, hands-on work that resonates with our users.
San Francisco/New York—Sales
You will help build and strengthen relationships with some of Hover’s insurance accounts and channel partners, a vertical we are continuing to grow and scale. With the current state of the industry and the significant changes they’re dealing with as weather patterns in the country continue to force them to evolve their operating models to fend against what has become an existential threat to the ways they currently do business, we need enterprise grade strategic change agents. As such, we are looking for you to have an entrepreneurial mindset and expect you to take the initiative to build relationships with c level executives within the segment and to create plans with them to see Hover as a critical component of their transformation and organizational change journey.
You will be responsible for developing strong relationships with key account stakeholders across both Claims and Underwriting departments. You will connect with key business executives and project team members, prepare adoption and utilization reports, build presentation decks, and lead quarterly business reviews with the project teams. You’ll be the primary lead for any technical integration projects, and be responsible for ensuring each phase is properly scoped, timelines are achieved, and functionality is delivered. In this role, you will be responsible for answering client requests and identifying business opportunities across new verticals. As a Senior Enterprise Account Executive, your focus is on acquiring named new logos, contributing to the launch and management of new pilots, tracking utilization & performance of the Hover technology, and building ROI models for Senior Leadership. In this role, you will also drive deal strategy between cross-functional teams at Hover, including Sales, Customer Success, Product Development, Engineering, Finance, and Production departments.

Compensation philosophy

Hover’s pay philosophy is simple–we establish competitive market-based compensation and align rewards with our high performance culture. We set pay standards using relevant market data while also rewarding employees based on their performance, contributions, and impact.
Offers at Hover
Our compensation bands are benchmarked against all SF Bay Area technology companies, refreshed annually and designed to give employees room to grow over time. Our compensation bands are tied to a leveling framework that provides clarity of expectations in each role.
Merit cycles
We run two merit cycles a year for non-quota carrying employees, typically at the end of Q1 and Q3, following a performance review cycle. Employees with at least 2 months tenure before the start of the merit cycle are eligible to participate. Quota carrying employees participate in one cycle per year.

The interview process

Step 1
Preliminary screening
A Recruiter will provide an overview of the job, team, and what it’s like to work at Hover. We’ll dive into relevant professional experience with background and behavioral questions aimed at assessing role fit.
Step 2
Hiring Manager interview
Usually you’ll speak with the Hiring Manager via Zoom video for 30-45 minutes. You can expect both behavioral and technical/skills-based questions. Be sure to familiarize yourself with the product if you haven’t already and come prepared to share feedback and ask questions.
Step 3
Technical assessment
For some of our more technical roles there may be a live coding assessment or case study to assess problem solving skills. We intend for the assessment to be practical, related to the work we do at Hover, and fun.
Step 4
Onsite interview
In an effort to build rapport and create an environment of collaboration we aim to conduct as much of the interviews in-person as possible, in either our San Francisco or New York office. We’d be happy to distribute the interviews across multiple days to accommodate your schedule.
