San Francisco/New York—Marketing
At Hover, we are bringing products to the market that are transforming the home improvement industry. We are looking for an exceptionally talented product marketer manager with experience bringing new products and new ideas to market. You will have a unique opportunity and be trusted to lead launch strategies and campaigns for new products and features, driving acquisition and adoption in a fast-paced and agile environment. You will be responsible for executing product launch plans together with a highly cross-functional team of marketers, product managers, and sales and support team members.
New York—Sales
Hover is looking for an account executive who is passionate about improving lives through technology and thrives in a fast-growing technology company. This role will require creativity, grit, and cross-functional collaboration across Sales, Marketing, Product, and Support teams. It will also require a high-velocity sales motion and be responsible for managing a large pipeline of opportunities. You’ll be part of a strong and innovative team focused on delivering the best possible customer experience to Home Improvement Contractors while maximizing sales for Hover.
The fast growing Small Business team has a “customer-first” mindset and collaborates across the business to ensure Hover is putting its best foot forward. We have a “Think.Do.Serve” value set that ensures we work collaboratively, authentically, and openly both internally and externally.
San Francisco/New York—Engineering
Hover is looking for a seasoned full-stack engineer to join the Construction team. As a passionate group of engineers, we are looking for someone who is similarly motivated to build great systems and data that sit at the core of our business. An ideal candidate will be excited to contribute across the software stack. This is a great opportunity to get exposure to multiple systems and move the business forward in novel ways as you’ll be working on making the lives of our team members and customers easier. The ideal candidate doesn’t just define themselves as an engineer, but as a product owner and operates with high accountability. You are an experienced operator who’s strong on execution, and proactive about identifying problems and arming the team with potential solutions.
Remote (US)—Sales
As a Channel Representative on the Construction Sales Team at Hover, you will collaborate with Channel Management to build partnerships and execute Go-to-Market (GTM) plans that drive our strategic objectives. You’ll work in the field with partner GTM leaders and partner sales representatives to establish goals, align resources, and accomplish clear objectives for your programs.
In this role, you’ll develop strong relationships internally and externally, excelling in executive-level communication. You will identify and qualify new opportunities and relationships with regional or district partner sales teams to expand our business by advocating within partner sales organizations. You’ll also contribute to planning, executing, and ensuring the success of partner channel activities in your territory—these may include in-market events, brand days, product training, and individual relationship building. You are a self-starter who seeks creative ways to promote the Hover brand and our technology, encouraging partners to introduce their network of contractors to Hover sales. You’ll partner across Hover teams—including Sales and Marketing—to maximize value for Hover and our network of partners. This position will focus on the Pacific Northwest and Western Mountain West regions.
San Francisco/New York—Design
As an Art Director at Hover, you’ll be instrumental in bringing our brand and marketing vision to life. You will collaborate closely with designers, marketing teams, and other cross-functional partners to deliver high-quality, impactful creative work across a variety of mediums. This role is hands-on, requiring both exceptional design skills and the ability to guide and inspire a team. You’ll play a critical role in building and maintaining the Hover brand, focusing on execution and elevating our creative output.

Hover’s pay philosophy is simple–we establish competitive market-based compensation and align rewards with our high performance culture. We set pay standards using relevant market data while also rewarding employees based on their performance, contributions, and impact.

Our compensation bands are benchmarked against all SF Bay Area technology companies, refreshed annually and designed to give employees room to grow over time. Our compensation bands are tied to a leveling framework that provides clarity of expectations in each role.
Merit cycles
We run two merit cycles a year for non-quota carrying employees, typically at the end of Q1 and Q3, following a performance review cycle. Employees with at least 2 months tenure before the start of the merit cycle are eligible to participate. Quota carrying employees participate in one cycle per year.

The interview process

Our goal is to provide ample opportunity for you to demonstrate your ability to succeed in the role. We believe the best interview processes are objective, transparent, and consistent, and that is what we aim to provide you with.
Step 1
Preliminary screening
A Recruiter will provide an overview of the job, team, and what it’s like to work at Hover. We’ll dive into relevant professional experience with background and behavioral questions aimed at assessing role fit.
Step 2
Hiring Manager interview
Usually you’ll speak with the Hiring Manager via Zoom video for 30-45 minutes. You can expect both behavioral and technical/skills-based questions. Be sure to familiarize yourself with the product if you haven’t already and come prepared to share feedback and ask questions.
Step 3
Technical assessment
For some of our more technical roles there may be a live coding assessment or case study to assess problem solving skills. We intend for the assessment to be practical, related to the work we do at Hover, and fun.
Step 4
Onsite interview
In an effort to build rapport and create an environment of collaboration we aim to conduct as much of the interviews in-person as possible, in either our San Francisco or New York office. We’d be happy to distribute the interviews across multiple days to accommodate your schedule.
