San Francisco/New York—Engineering
As a Security Software Engineer, you will build foundational security systems that protect our users and infrastructure. You will design and implement robust, scalable security services, acting as a primary partner for engineering teams to build secure-by-design solutions into our platform. You will take ownership of core functions such as authentication (login, MFA), identity management (SCIM, RBAC), secret management, and more. Your work will be crucial in maintaining and hardening compliance (e.g., SOC 2) and protecting sensitive data across our organization.
The Team:
The Infrastructure and Security team at Hover ensures the scalability, reliability, and security of our platform, empowering engineers to build and deploy applications faster, safer, and with greater stability. This collaborative team is composed of engineers with expertise in cloud infrastructure, security, automation, and CI/CD best practices. We handle everything from Kubernetes environments and cloud architecture to securing user authentication and automating vulnerability detection.
Our mission is to make the best path the easiest path by providing robust automation, consistent patterns, and secure-by-design principles. We partner with engineering teams to tackle challenges like managing rich geospatial and machine learning workloads, hardening cloud infrastructure, and implementing security features across our stack (Ruby, TypeScript, Docker, GCP, Terraform, and more).
Team members are supported with professional growth opportunities, a strong focus on learning, and a culture that values collaboration, innovation, and the continuous improvement of our systems and security posture. Join us to work on cutting-edge challenges that are critical to the foundation of Hover’s success.

As the Engineering Manager for our 3D Measurements team, you'll lead one of Hover's most visible and impactful engineering teams. The 3D Measurements team is responsible for calculating and publishing the measurement data our customers rely on every day. From roof area and wall dimensions to ridge, rake, and eave measurements. The team also owns the systems that generate customer-facing artifacts and power interactive 3D visualizations of properties across Hover's platform.
This role sits at the intersection of computational geometry, graphics engineering, backend systems, and people leadership. You'll lead a highly technical team while remaining close to the technology itself, partnering with engineers to solve challenging geometry problems, improve measurement accuracy, modernize our rendering stack, and explore next-generation technologies like WebGPU.
If you're excited by the idea of leading a small, high-trust team while staying technically engaged with complex 3D challenges, this is a unique opportunity to have outsized impact across Hover's products and future technology direction.

At Hover, we're transforming everyday photos and videos into accurate 3D property data that powers the future of home improvement, construction, and insurance. By combining cutting-edge AI with expert human insight, we're building the world's most advanced platform for creating digital twins of real-world spaces.
As a Senior Process Engineer, you'll play a critical role in scaling and evolving the systems behind that platform. You'll partner closely with teams across Computer Vision, Product, Engineering, Operations, and R&D to improve how we build, validate, and deliver 3D models at scale.
This is an opportunity to work on complex, real-world challenges at the intersection of AI, automation, and 3D modeling. You'll help shape the future of Hover's production systems by identifying opportunities to increase automation, improve quality, reduce turnaround times, and unlock new product capabilities. Your work will have a direct impact on both customer experience and the evolution of our platform.

The Inspections team is responsible for one of Hover's fastest-growing products and plays a critical role in helping some of the largest insurers in the world make better decisions about properties. We're looking for a Senior Software Engineer who can help us scale that product while shaping its future architecture. You'll begin by building customer-facing features that improve the inspection experience and quickly grow into helping lead a strategic evolution of the platform as we transition portions of our React Native application into native SDK capabilities.
This is a role for someone who enjoys balancing product thinking with technical depth. You'll work closely with Product, Design, QA, and Engineering partners to solve real customer problems, improve platform reliability, and influence decisions that will impact both Hover's applications and future external SDK consumers. If you're excited about product ownership, working with ambiguity, and the opportunity to help define the next generation of a rapidly growing product, we'd love to meet you.
San Francisco/New York—Engineering
We’re expanding Hover’s 3D Reconstruction platform to solve one of our most ambitious technical challenges: transforming real-world sensor data into accurate, structured, CAD-quality models at scale. Computer Vision doesn’t just support Hover’s products, it defines them. We’re looking for either a Senior or Staff Computer Vision Engineer who can turn cutting-edge research into scalable production capabilities while helping shape the future of our reconstruction systems.
This role is ideal for someone who wants to own meaningful technical work end to end, move quickly without large-company bureaucracy, and help build accurate digital twin models of the real world at scale. You’ll work across research, experimentation, and production: reading papers, reproducing and adapting promising academic approaches, training deep learning models, designing rigorous experiments, building proof-of-concepts, and turning successful ideas into robust engineered systems that reach users.
At the Staff level, this role is ideal for a technical leader who is equally comfortable with deep 3D reconstruction work, product strategy, architectural tradeoffs, experiment design, and production deployment. You’ll help connect long-term technical vision, day-to-day engineering execution, and market-driven product needs so Hover’s CV roadmap delivers maximum customer and business impact.
You’ll join a high-performing team of computer vision researchers, reconstruction engineers, graphics specialists, and 3D modelers building systems that turn real-world capture into accurate digital twin models at commercial scale.
