Remote (US)—Design
At Hover, collaboration and critique are central to how we design. We prototype early and often, challenge each other thoughtfully, and keep the user at the center of every decision. As a Lead Designer, you’ll help solve meaningful user problems while raising the bar for craft, clarity, and design thinking across the product.

Today, contractors juggle a stack of disconnected tools to run their business: a CRM, a measurement app, an estimating tool, a photo app. Hover already owns the measurement. Now we're building the estimate, the step that turns a completed scope into a signed deal.
We just launched a major update to our estimation product, and it's showing early signs of success with enterprise customers testing it in the real world. You'll lead the team that takes it further, building an estimating product that stands on its own, tightly integrated with Hover's measurements and our 3D generative AI interaction product. It sits on top of Hover's property data, where we're giving contractors and adjusters new ways to see a property and derive the work to be done from it.

Hover's Inspections product is the primary way our insurance customers document, measure, and act on the condition of a property. Today, it runs almost entirely on React Native, and we’re looking to change that. We are looking for a Senior iOS Engineer to lead the transition of this product to native code, starting with iOS. You'll be the go-to technical authority for how inspections get built natively going forward, working shoulder-to-shoulder with our SDK and Mobile Core teams to bring the same polish our platform SDKs are known for to the Inspections experience. This is a role for someone who wants real ownership over a loosely-defined migration, not just a set of tickets. You'll decide how we get there, and you'll help shape what "there" looks like.

As a Security Software Engineer, you will build foundational security systems that protect our users and infrastructure. You will design and implement robust, scalable security services, acting as a primary partner for engineering teams to build secure-by-design solutions into our platform. You will take ownership of core functions such as authentication (login, MFA), identity management (SCIM, RBAC), secret management, and more. Your work will be crucial in maintaining and hardening compliance (e.g., SOC 2) and protecting sensitive data across our organization.
The Team:
The Infrastructure and Security team at Hover ensures the scalability, reliability, and security of our platform, empowering engineers to build and deploy applications faster, safer, and with greater stability. This collaborative team is composed of engineers with expertise in cloud infrastructure, security, automation, and CI/CD best practices. We handle everything from Kubernetes environments and cloud architecture to securing user authentication and automating vulnerability detection.
Our mission is to make the best path the easiest path by providing robust automation, consistent patterns, and secure-by-design principles. We partner with engineering teams to tackle challenges like managing rich geospatial and machine learning workloads, hardening cloud infrastructure, and implementing security features across our stack (Ruby, TypeScript, Docker, GCP, Terraform, and more).
Team members are supported with professional growth opportunities, a strong focus on learning, and a culture that values collaboration, innovation, and the continuous improvement of our systems and security posture. Join us to work on cutting-edge challenges that are critical to the foundation of Hover’s success.

As the Engineering Manager for our 3D Measurements team, you'll lead one of Hover's most visible and impactful engineering teams. The 3D Measurements team is responsible for calculating and publishing the measurement data our customers rely on every day. From roof area and wall dimensions to ridge, rake, and eave measurements. The team also owns the systems that generate customer-facing artifacts and power interactive 3D visualizations of properties across Hover's platform.
This role sits at the intersection of computational geometry, graphics engineering, backend systems, and people leadership. You'll lead a highly technical team while remaining close to the technology itself, partnering with engineers to solve challenging geometry problems, improve measurement accuracy, modernize our rendering stack, and explore next-generation technologies like WebGPU.
If you're excited by the idea of leading a small, high-trust team while staying technically engaged with complex 3D challenges, this is a unique opportunity to have outsized impact across Hover's products and future technology direction.
