This new interactive experience gives homeowners the power to visualize exterior home renovations in an instant. Using machine learning and the latest advancements in image rendering, Design Pro allows homeowners and contractors to easily collaborate on transforming a property’s curb appeal in just a few clicks.

“With Design Pro, we’re using state-of-the-art Computer Generated Imagery (CGI) and visualization to create a 3D home model that looks like the real thing,” said Chris Ford, Senior Director of Product Management at HOVER. “When homeowners can experiment with the look of their house and create their dream home, they feel an emotional connection with the project. Design Pro helps homeowners and contractors customize every last aspect of the home together, exactly as they wish. The intuitive interface makes it easy for anyone to use the technology’s features, including:

  1. Trying out diverse material types and colors: From brick or stone walls to siding, users now have the flexibility to try out different products and colors for the exterior of their home from a wide variety of manufacturers, and can rapidly see what they do and don’t like.
  2. Creating stylistic design elements and accents: Whether you’re considering adding a stone accent, shakes in a gable or trim to break up material, Design Pro allows you to split walls of the model to visualize details that will add curb appeal to the home.
  3. Saving a design: Users can come back to multiple versions of their home at any time and tweak where needed before making the final call.

Redesigning a home is a big and long-term decision which most homeowners only do once or twice in their lifetime. It is also a costly decision, with the average roof installation costing nearly $7,000, and the average siding replacement costing between $5,000-$14,000. Homeowners will no longer have to make an expensive judgement call based on paint swatches, shingle samples, and their imagination. They can design their home exactly the way they want and know exactly how it will look before making the purchase.
