Hover Inc. uses generative artificial intelligence technology (“Hover GenAI”) in select offerings for its advanced property intelligence workflows. For example, Hover GenAI is used, in part, to generate exterior and/or interior visual designs in the Instant Design tool.

The following high-level summary of the Hover GenAI Dataset is provided in accordance with California Civil Code §§ 3110-3111, and refers to the nature of Hover’s artificial intelligence workflows covered by such statute. Information on Third Party Datasets (datasets not collected or managed by Hover) may be provided by the applicable developer using the links below.


High-Level Summary:

The Hover GenAI Dataset includes user-submitted content according to Hover’s Terms of Use. Millions of user-submitted images are paired with structural annotations, such as more than 2 million image-annotation pairs. Data collection beginning in 2017 and is ongoing in accordance with the Terms of Use. The first use of the Hover GenAI Dataset by Hover GenAI occurred in 2023.

Hover’s GenAI uses custom generative AI technology in combination with pre-trained publicly accessible generative AI technologies in accordance with their respective licenses. The Hover GenAI Dataset is used in further development and/or validation of other pre-trained publicly accessible generative AI technologies.

The Hover GenAI Dataset is used to enhance the Hover GenAI as conditional control (a “ControlNet”) of other generative AI technologies, including to constrain geometry and enhance segmentation of input content. The types of data points in the Hover GenAI Dataset includes images of building structures, 3D models derived from such images, and semantic labels of the building structure as represented by an associated 3D model (such as “ridge line,” “eave,” and so on).

The Hover GenAI Dataset may include content covered by copyright, with user-submitted content licensed or used in accordance with the Terms of Use.

The Hover GenAI Dataset, including user-submitted content, does not include personal information as defined in subdivision (v) of Section 1798.140. The Hover GenAI Dataset, including user-submitted content, does not include aggregate consumer information as defined in subdivision (b) of Section 1798.140.

No substantive cleaning, processing, or other modification has been made to the Hover GenAI Dataset. Data augmentation techniques have not been used, including cropping or other image processing, to enhance Hover’s GenAI or alter the Third Party Datasets.

The Hover GenAI Dataset does not use or generate synthetic data.
